Francophone Africa

CHALLENGE

The CFAO Group has been present in Africa for nearly 160 years. The Group is the trusted partner of the largest brands in its four sectors of activity: Mobility, Healthcare, Consumer Products and Technology & Energy.

On the strength of its African expertise and aware of the opportunities offered by the continent, CFAO, in its project to transform Africa, has created CFAO Retail to implement an ambitious development strategy in the retail sector in West and Central Africa.

To carry out this strategy, CFAO Retail has entered into an alliance with CARREFOUR, the French leader and world giant in mass distribution, to open six shopping centres in Cameroon by 2020.

Through their alliance, Carrefour and CFAO Retail started activities in Cameroon in 2017, with the opening of the Bonamoussadi "Carrefour" shopping center in Douala.

SOLUTION

With a view to optimising the achievement of the objectives set, CFAO Retail Cameroon requested technical assistance from AMSCO for the launch of its activities. AMSCO's intervention was in the following areas: the construction of a shopping Centre, the setting up and start-up of an agri-food Centre.
