Our Legacy

SINCE 1989

Since 1989, our legacy has been built on passion for people combined with our ongoing ambition to turn sub-Saharan organisations into thriving African enterprises.

The company was established to implement the African Training and Management Services (ATMS) Project, a joint project of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the African Development Bank (AfDB) with other Development Finance Institutions as key partners.

AMSCO has worked with over 1,000 businesses across 29 African countries resulting in significant socio-economic growth.

The transition of AMSCO from the ATMS Project and setting up AMSCO LLC in Mauritius to reflect the purpose of the company: Growing People, Growing Companies, Growing Africa.

2018
ATMS V comes to an end, local registration of AMSCO HRA in Cameroon, Ghana, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria, SA and Zambia.

2017
The AMSCO Mozambique office is established.

2016
The AMSCO Zambia office is established.

2012

The new AMSCO strategy for private sector development in Africa is approved.

2011
Lagos, Nigeria regional office opened.

2008
Two more offices are setup one in Ghana to serve Anglophone West and another at Cameroon for the Francophone Africa Market.

2004
The Zimbabwe office relocated to Johnnesburg, South Africa to serve as thge regional office for the Southern Africa and the Oerational Head Office.

2003

A regional office opens in Nairobi, Kenya to cater for the East Africa Market and in Lagos, Nigeria to cater for the Anglophone West Africa Market.

2001
First Office setup in Zimbabwe and launched by the former Minister of Trade and Industry Hon. Nathan Shamuyaria.

1999
AMSCO established in the Netherlands to implement the African Training and Management Services(ATMS) Projects.
